We're actively working on fixing this on the Ionic Package side and it's our #1 priority, it's been a little more involved than normal because we're simultaneously adding a new feature so we don't break older projects by fixing the bug: Use Auto Layout and pin your view to Top Layout Guide, or use the new Safe Area Layout Guides.

Ionic View for iOS recently had a new native release (you'll have to update through the App Store) that fixes the header issue when checking stuff out in View. Just wanted to give you guys a little update on where we are at with fixing this on the Ionic Pro side: However, if you want some more typical native animations for your transitions there’s an easy way to get awesome truly native page transitions within your Ionic app. Note: in iOS 11.0 the function to handle these constants was called constant() but in iOS 11.2 Apple renamed it to env() (see here), therefore to cover both cases you need to overload the CSS rule with both.
